The feast of St. Ezequiel Moreno, August 19, 2014, moved the seminarians of Casiciaco Recoletos Seminary along the legion of Mary, Secular Augustinian Fraternity, and family apostolates members to visit the sick in the five hospitals in Baguio: Saint Louis University Hospital (SLU), Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGH), Notre Dame de Chartres Hospital, Pines City Doctor's Hospital and Baguio Medical Center (BMC).

The seven groups were divided to the different hospitals. Two groups for Saint Louis University Hospital (SLU), two for  Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGH), one for  Notre Dame de Chartres Hospital, one for  Pines City Doctor's Hospital and one for  Baguio Medical Center (BMC). The apostolate started at 11 am and ended at 2 pm.

The activity was divided into two parts. First was the blessing for the sick, reading of the word of God, invocation of the Holy Spirit and sharing. During the invocation of the Holy Spirit one of the patients shed tears and repeatedly sayed “Thank you God for giving me hope”. After which, the sing and dance presentation followed for the enjoyment of the sick persons and to ease their burdens.

Bro. Mark Anthony A. Cabanes, leader of the second group in Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGH) expressed,” I don't feel tired bringing the presence of God to the sick.”

“Pure smiles and gratitude after our apostolate is our reward. I see hope and joy in their smiles which reminds me that God is with them with the intercession of St. Ezequiel Moreno”, he added.

Bro. Rommel Casin, from the second group of Saint Louis University Hospital (SLU) said,

”sickness is not a hindrance for you to have hope, but rather sickness is a ground for new strength and hope in your life”.

Bro. Arbel Gacita, a member of the group in  Notre Dame de Chartres Hospital, stated,”indeed this hospital apostolate is fulfilling. I love the way of bringing Christ to sick people. There is that outburst of feeling after all this prayer offerings and entertainments. I have witnessed renewed hope”.
